Having a driving license can be essential for newly arrived women to access services, gain employment and connect to the community. But it can be difficult and expensive to get a license, as an adult who hasn’t driven before, as someone who is still learning English and as someone who is still finding their feet in a new country.
The Old Church Driving School supports newly arrived women to get their license, linking them with professional lessons as well as a volunteer driving mentor.
We are currently looking for volunteers, get in touch if you’re interested at hello@collective.org.au.
